In partnership with other Hilltop organizations, Hilltop Alliance launched “Fresh Fridays on the Hilltop” in 2012 to increase the availability of and access to fresh produce in the Hilltop. Fresh Fridays on the Hilltop seeks to fill a most immediate gap in access to fresh foods.

Hilltop Alliance works with 412 Food Rescue the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB), St. John Vianney Food Pantry, the Brashear Association, and Animal Friends to: provide a selection of fresh and dry goods, provide free cat and dog food for furry family members, offer at-home delivery options for residents with mobility or schedule impediments, and staff  dedicated volunteers at each event!

The program serves up to 350 families from the 15203, 15210, and 15211 Hilltop zip codes per event. The event occurs every second Friday of the month, April through November at 206 Allen Street in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
