During this season of giving, the winner will select the charity of their choice to receive a $500 donation! The judges include Talk Pittsburgh Chefs Alekka Sweeny and Jannet Loughran!
When Chef Alekka Sweeney is not trying new restaurants around the city she grew up in, her primary goal is to bring her 25+ years of Culinary and Pastry knowledge to the homes of those at all ages or cooking levels. You may recognize her by her red hair, glasses, bold cake tattoo, or all of the above. She is classically trained in French pastry from Le Cordon Bleu and has 15 + years teaching experience with various disciplines of baking.
Chef Janet Loughran, a regular contributor on KDKA's Talk Pittsburgh, has been a Chef for two decades. She loves sharing her cooking techniques on Instagram @chef.life.hacks. She was classically trained with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. She comes with two decades of experience in the restaurant and catering industries. Janet enjoys the freedom that private cheffing provides so that she can spend time with her husband and two young sons.
